Congratulations (belated) on 6 years. I'm with Shevie and what he said in his Feb 9th post... You said that February is your month...so is mine! I'm hoping to be the next graduating class. Thank you for being an inspiration!
I was not part of your group, but I was one who learned from your group, you know that wonderful Rusty and how great she was with me. You are all my heroes. I am still quit and coming up to 6 years too.
Duffis, I've also been unable to log on. I just saw the post on Facebook and luckily I could log on tonight. Congrats on 6 smoke free trips around the sun! Your Duffisms have been some of my favorite posts, especially "next Tuesday"! Thanks for helping pave the path to smoke freedom for so many of us! Here's to the next 6 smoke free years, and beyond! And don't forget to celebrate with a special reward!
I am sorry that I missed the opening of our 6th year Anniversary month. So much going on in my life right now. I am still smoke free...............YAHOO. I have not heard from anyone from our group at all. I am so glad to see that you are doing well and are still smoke free also. CONGRATS MY FRIEND!! There have been many times that I could have just picked one up and took a puff, but have managed to talk myself right thru it! You take care and Bless you on your journey!
I did not forget!.....just could not login to the site. I put a post in Facebook yeterday instead! It is so great to see so many 'old' friends on this thread.
Huge Congratulations to you on your 6th Anniversary!
Being the last standing Unsmokable I wish to declare my 6th year of not smoking. We started off forming a group of committed people who wanted to quit smoking. This site became a meeting place where we all shared our frustrations, failures and successes. We marveled at our milestones, we praised each other as we climbed the mountain. We gathered many followers on our march up the mountain. February 2005 was indeed a great time.
UFO, Georgie, Missy, Brenda and Major Dude........I miss you guys. Josie of all the staff at the SSC you were the shining star, the keeper of peace, the referee and mentor, the calm lady who kept us going and in line. Rusty you were my mentor and friend who calmed my soul. Lolly you too were there for me even through your own trials. I even enjoyed some of my protagonists, Pen I will miss you. Shevie you are still going down the road.
It has been a very rewarding experience for me. As I enjoy the later part of my life I am looking for new and exciting challenges. I wish you all success and an easy transition into the non smoking life. May you quit process be as easy as mine was.
I'd like to see some responses from other Unsmokeables, too. You guys were my heroes and inspiration when I quit a few months later. Back then someone who had been quit a hundred days was just short of a god, LOL!
What the hey I guess I am the only one left out of 7 of the Unsmokeables. Sunday the 13 will be my last post I think 6 years is long enough. Like many others before me, I have paid my dues and it is time to move on.
Where are you guys? February, our month, is near. Time to check out the site and post your victory of 6 years quit. UFO - Georgie - Major Dude - Missyfit and many more.
