It will be my one year anniversary on 10/18 since I quit smoking. I smoked heavily for 53 years and never thought I could quit. I am proud and happy that I gave it my last try and succeeded this time. I still chew nicorette gum occasionally but the Dr. said if that's what it takes to stay off the cigarettes then go ahead. If my one year quit anniversary after 53 years will inspire any other long term smoker it will make me happy. If I can do it, anyone can, because it was truly part of my life all those years.
I have had a weight gain and am working on that now, but I can breathe and walk further since I quit.
Happy anniversary to me! Sincerely, Ruth Ann
