You're lucky if that happen once in awhile...At my work that's like every 5 minutes. I'm chomping away on my Dentyne sp. Ice like a madman, but I'm not going outside. You can do it too... Hate the butts..... What a great group you guys have....it helps to have someone who is going through exactly the same things. It really bugged me that things at work stressed me out more than usual. I know it's because I've been running a little higher on the stress level during this quit. I'm not quite up to par....but I'm a little better now than I was 2 weeks ago. Way to go on managing the situation and keeping the quit! Hi All4Me!! Pick up a paperclip and make a stick figure out of it =) Take rubber bands and zing them across your desk =) And yes, you are right. THey taste nastyy. They will make you puke and make you stink. Besides, you are worth more than that coworker and smoke combined =) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 146 Amount Saved: $28 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 6 Mins: 51 Seconds: 47

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Somebody complained about a choice I made at work. Now I am irritated and would like to go calm down with a smoke. Am posting here cuz I know it won't help. It will taste nasty. I will be pouring poison into my body. I want to be around to be with my loved ones. I can't dissapoint myself again. I really want to stay quit this time. I am quitting because my life means more than a cig. I smell better, I don't cough anymore, I want to improve my health. I like Duckie's idea with the rubberbands. All4me, Ok ready? Breath in, 1...2...3 Breath out, 3...2...1 Breath in, 1...2...3 Breath out, 3...2...1 Repeat x 10 Feel better? Yes, you have every right to be frustrated but smoking won't make those problems go away. Take five minutes for yourself. You did it when you were a smoker, why not now? Focus on breathing and think of something that makes you happy. Once you've calmed down, deal with the problem at hand. Don't forget to reward yourself for doing all this smoke free. Hope this helps. Hang in there. You can do this! Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi all4me ... AND... smoking masked our feelings and created a magical fog... So what a blessing of an opportunity for you to learn how to take loving care of YOU when things are tough... I love those opportunities! You are doing beautifully - you came here and let it out... Keep coming here and posting and all you have to do, is put one foot in front of the other, friend... Hi all4me. It sounds like you did a great job. Wanted to smoke, didn't, posted instead! FANTASTIC! That's all it takes. I've been trying to do a couple yoga stretches at times like that, I'm lucky I have a door to shut. Any place you can go to hide for a sec and refocus? Keep up the good work August My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/3/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 66 Amount Saved: $10 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 5 Mins: 21 Seconds: 55
