Way to go! I,too, used the patch. Every time I stepped down the junkie got a little nervous and the thinking got a little crazy for a few days but I adjusted to each new level of nicotine and today I am patchless, nekkid and free! :) Take care, Faith My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/23/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 80 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,000 Amount Saved: $960.00 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 3 Mins: 9 Seconds: 54

Lainey, Never thought of it as a "custom quit". But that's what it is and it works for me. I like that idea. Each unique quit should be custom built so it gives us the best chance of remaining smoke free! Good for you Jan! That is great! I wanted to do that last time, but the 21mg's just made me into a zombie for some reason. I'm trying cold turkey this time, but if I need to I may just start off with the 14mg. I'm glad that's really working for you. You'll be so glad you worked all the way thru the steps when the regiment is over! After six weeks the switch from 21 to 14 mgs. is going very smoothly. Taking the extra time at 21 mgs. helped me to establish my quit better for the slow nicotine withdrawal now taking place. Quit is going really well!
