times of trouble trigger the demon

Blue Cloud, there will always be things you can't control in your life. Isn't it great that only YOU can control whether you smoke, and no one can take your 23 beautiful days away? Isn't it great that no matter what life throws at you or how unjustly you are treated, you can always do yourself the favour of not smoking & give yourself the gift of an addiction-free life? Every time you beat a trigger with a new strategy, that's one trigger you have control over. So if a lot of triggers are coming at you at once, that makes a hard thing harder for sure but it also gets you a lot closer to knowing how to deal with all of them. When you're going through hell, keep going! You're doing great, & you're looking freakin gorgeous!! Blue cloud, It's not just you. Truth be told, you probably smoked through a lot of these frustrations and emotions. Now you can't but your brain has made that association so you crave. It's time for you to start developping new ways to cope. Some members have found taking deep breaths, journalling daily and walking to relieve anxiety and tension helpful. Give it a whirl and see if it helps. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Is it just me or does it seem like everything that goes wrong is like a trigger for a crave. My life in general is a mess so each day I think I'm doing good and then something will happen to remind me just how skrewed up things are in general and I start to crave. I am having to tell myself over and over that things will get better, but I have to tell you folks I have alot of stuff going on that I can't control. Today makes 23 days smoke free for me and I am surely going to try again tomorrow.
