My ex passed away I had to take care of everything

He was an only child. I am an only child. We had only one child and I couldn't leave him dealing with the coroner and police. My ex died at home and was found by his girlfriend. We were devastated. He never smoked, or drank. He was a powerful man and we all thought he'd be the one to go on forever. He dropped dead of a heart attack picking up the mail in his living room. I guess I'm next but not for awhile. Let's discuss stress. I dropped everything I was doing to run over there, had to come back and pick up just where I left off and finish all the dogs I had left. It's ten pm and I just finished the last dog. I haven't had a cigarette. I can't say I haven't wanted one, just haven't had one. I have had two extra pieces of gum. I forgive myself that small transgression.
