#18 POSITIVE ATTITUDE Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... # 16... Smokers are people too ! It's o.k. to be around other smokers & the choice to stop smoking is ours, don't become one of those 'peaching' non-smokers. Freedom of choice, spirit, speach & everything else that makes life interesting, we are all unique, it's what makes the world go round. # 14... be prepared that your Quit will literally consume you for at least one year. but thats o.k. cos when we smoked cigarettes, our next cigarette consumed our every thought... feeding the constant & 'nagging' nicotine withdrawl. One year of discumfort for eternal freedom, no contest ! # 15... get tough & be honest. If someone %^&@#$ you off - tell them. It's no good 'bottling it all up' cos you cant 'snuff' it all away with a cigarette. Remember that you are the most important person in your life, your happiness paramount. Put youself first for once & stop fussing over other people, it's your turn to take centre stage & it's about time !. #24 Start a quit journal. Write in it a lot, especially early in the quit. Copy good, inspirational posts to it and read them whenever you feel like you want to give in. Read what you wrote in the beginning and remember how much you do NOT want to repeat that EVER again! Crave the Quit!
