Stress Relievers

Hi Eleveno,
There's an eight class stint starting in a couple of weeks.

I pay a great deal for my membership at a  gym, where I don't do anything but weight and some cardio on different machines.  Not using the pool, or the annual fitness evaluation(I can get one at a sports clinic by better qualified people for a small cost) or many different classes has always left me conflicted, wondering why I don't do the "Zumba" class or their noisy aerobic classes, has left me wondering whether I should leave for another gym or just buy some machine from home.  Yoga seems more attractive since it's not noisy, but meditative, and classes should be small for this summer session.

It's hard to turn this brain off for productive living

Hello Hugs4u. I am glad you tried yoga. How many classes are you planning to go?

Working out.
Thanks to Eleveno, I tried my first yoga class, and I think I'm hooked.  If only I could unlock my legs

Hello Vincenza. My favorite stress reliever is yoga.

I would like to hear if any member is using a daily planner, and how one can use the daily planner for stress relieve.

Members,

Our focus in recent posts has been on stress management.  Below are some additional ways to release tension and stress.

    Self-hypnosis
    Progressive Muscle Relaxation
    Exercise
    Balanced diet
    Aromatherapy
    Going out with friends
    Equal work-life balance
    Spirituality or Religion
    Keeping a daily planner
    De-cluttering your space
Leaving 15 minutes earlier for appointments or work
Relaxing your standards – the world will not fall to pieces if the laundry is left for tomorrow.
Earplugs for noisy environments or 15 minutes of quiet
Focus on understanding as opposed to being understood, really listen to the other person.

What’s your favorite stress reliever?
