Self-Nurturing Activities

Great Idea Ashley!

I have a few more to my favorites to add.....

Going to the book store and browsing for something interesting to read.

Creating something beautiful out of fabric and sewing it on my sewing machine.

Growing my own vegetables and cooking something delicious with them..

I should add that only the ABBA idea was my own.  I am actually copying from a list I have from a lecture I went to at work.

Here are a few more:

  • Buy yourself a rose
  • Get a massage
  • Take a bubble bath
  • Go to the pet store and play with the animals [*Carmie's note - or the animal shelter)
  • Get a manicure or a pedicure...or both
  • Stop and smell some flowers

I love this thread too!

Great idea both of you!

We should try to add to it often.

Carmie..Love the thread...I'll add a couple of my favorites too..

Going for a walk.
Sleeping in real late.
Taking a long hot shower.
Doing some creative cooking.
Buying myself a nice bouquet of flowers.

I wonder what everyone else's favorites are?

Thank you to Red for suggesting this as a topic.  I remembered your suggestion when I was doing something that I found to be incredibly nurturing in the car - turning up ABBA at high volumes and singing!  I have a list at my desk of some other activities - I'll start by posting just a few and perhaps we'll come up with a nice list.
  • Walking in the rain
  • Exercise
  • Writing in a journal
  • Playing the piano or another instrument
  • Signing up for a yoga class
  • Having Breakfast in Bed
I'll add more as time allows and if you'd like.
Wishing you all peace in your hearts today,
Carmie
