J - Moving to a new city would cacuse anyone incredible stress but people with panic ....whoa....its very hard for us! You should speak to you doc on the phone and try to take more xanax if you can tolerate - ie you are on a very small dosage...also, klonopin is longer lasting and another alternative...Hang in there.

Recently we moved to another city, and I am suffering with panic really bad. I've been in a new house and new enviroment for a week, and I am miserable. I can't get out because panic hits me hard while driving. I have never been so miserable. I can't sleep, can't relax, and can't find enough stuff to keep me busy till my husband comes home at night. Ispend most of my time walking around the house. I also worry about stupid stuff. I take .25 xanax each day, but it dosen't help. Made an appt with Dr, but cannot see till Sept 28, Does any one have any ideas. I'm getting really scared I may be going totally nuts!!
