fda warns against ssris for teens

It hasn't been "proved" there is one study that indicates teens should be monitored and more studies are needed. SSRI's are individual response items, one helps some and not others and vice versa. If it helps fine, keep going, if not, talk to your doc about trying something else. Don't let the press panic you most of them write at 5th grade level, which would be fine but many of them think at 3rd grade level.
