Are you allowed music even if it has to be with head phones. It can be a substitute for silence and does block out a lot of distractions. Instrumental only is even better. Unless you are into Rap it is not very good as a cover.

Regarding your workplace issues, you may be able to speak with management to discuss that issue. Of course it can depend organization to organization. Human resources may be the department to talk to in some cases, in others it would be best to talk with management. As part of their role, most likely they are to ensure that their employees have the best chance to succeed and work in a productive work environment.
You may be able to approach it that way. You can discuss how it would help you be more productive, work more efficiently and be happier in your workplace. Honesty is usually the best option as your employee should be just as interested in having you happy/productive in your workplace as you.
That may be the best place to start. I'm sure others have opinions on this as well.
good to hear about you, you are quite beautiful. It has been a time since I have been on panic center.I am struggling a bit since I am back to work full time, I work at social service delivering Ontario Works program. It is sad the situations I hear and I am trying not to be a super hero worker, because that just drains me out. I do find the CBT helpful, sometimes I use the tool box to put my fear or worry in perspective. I am struggling to get an acceptable work environment to sit in. My employer is not recognizing I need a quiet spot. I have talk to my specialist and he will complete a form sent by my employer. So we'll see how this works out.
any suggestions how to explain to my employer that poor focus and concentration needs a quieter environment?>
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you are healing but there certainly sounds like there is a lot of other worries on your plate. I am glad that you are keeping a positive outlook.
Hold on to that positivity and spring will be here before you know it!
I hope you meant "under the knife". My surgeon is a mechanical engineer and used a saw and hammer. Maybe the gun is used to keep insurance companies away
Well,my surgery is all done and over,i am healed up and doing great...but.good thing i did what i did, when i did..as now,my husband has to have surgery next thrusday for bone spurs in his shoulder, and rotater problem too..his brother,is in the hospital now,his knees gave way,and he needs a double knee replacement..my daughter inlaw,is facing neck surgery for bone spurs soon too...wow,just thinking about all this makes me tired!
So...i need to keep a positive outlook,,iam sure all will be fine, and i will do what i can..but i too can only do so much..i still am on the mend,so i am not going to overwhelm myself....got to take care of me too!
I am doing good,i have had a couple bouts with anxiety, but was able to overcome that...
