This is very true. I have not been able to buy new things for a while now. And kept telling myself as soon as I have this amount I am going out by myself clothes, accessories, etc. At that time I was just wearing old items that I just did not feel "good" in. I went out bought myself a number of things, did my hair all pretty, painted my nails wore my new pants, shirt, shoes and purse and I was feeling like a new person. It is amazing how much retail therapy can help boost your mood.

Hello bren67,

It is great that you have found a way to feel good.
To see beauty is to be beauty. That doesn't necessarily mean that all beauty has to be pretty. But to see beauty in others and in life you must be able to radiate it within yourself and into the universe.

How has dressing a little differently helped you with your panic?

It helps to get things off my mind, and gives me an uplift to the day..i am putting together a list of items i want, and how to change my fashion looks..i have been reading many post about what we say, about how we dress..i was always a frumpy dresser,as i felt that my care taker was to busy for nice things..well i am turning that around now,as i dont leave my house until i have put on my best!!!
I dont wear sweat pants anymore,or sloppy tees to the store,i wear and dress nicer now,as at my age,is always a plus..we women forget to be proud of our age,our looks, our clothing...so my quest is to look as good as i can everyday!!! Just for me!

bren67,

Great to hear that you achieved your goal of finding new shoes! Are there any specific aspects about shopping that you find therapeutic?

Please let us know.

Sonia
