Bren

Sugar really affects my Arthritis but weather doesn't. I could walk barefoot and naked in the rain and all that would happen is I would get wet and cold. I suspect caffeine makes it more obvious too. Now heat kills me. Exercise definitely helps. Use it or lose it. Arthritis and depression are said to go together. I don't know but for me Arthritis and anxiety do. CBT keeps the anxiety from developing into panic.

Since you asked...well, i do like to take a nap now and then, but i also like to get up and go.....to me,being active is important too, with aurthritise,it helps to move more some days..i like to go and walk the mall,i dont mean shopping, iam in a group, and its warm and ok to do that at certian hours of the morning..but,if its snowing...i like to sip on hot coco,or tea,and snuggle up with my hubs and watch a movie on tv....

Hi everyone,

I hope that on these colder snowy, or raining wet winter days that you are all finding more time for yourselves to get restful sleep and take the time to do something you enjoy each day.  Whether it be watching a movie, reading, sitting by the fireside, napping...

What do you enjoy doing most on the typical wintery grey days?

Merry Christmas Bren!
I threw my back out over a week ago, but find it's better when I get more sleep.  According to my rheumatologist, sleep is a factor in back pain.  When we sleep, restorative things happen, so I keep track of my sleep even more than usual.

With so many stresses in our lives, we can't be like we when we were younger, and panic and those conditions make us vulnerable to getting into the dreaded panic cycle.

Good morning, Bren.  I hope this message finds you feeling much better.  I went a bit nutty with all of the sweets on Christmas too.  By the end of the day on Christmas, I was really looking forward to eating some fruits and veggies again.  I am bringing some leftover cookies to work with me today.
I hope that you had a more restful evening.   Rest is so important.  I like to imagine that I have a prescription from my doctor to get 8 hours of sleep every evening (and 8 glasses of water).  When I remember to drink my water and get my rest, it is really worth it.  I hope today is a better day, Bren.

The last couple nights.i have not slept well at all, been woke up with spasams in my back, keeping me awake, and my hip hurting me too,i felt my ol friend anxiety this morning kick in too,i did take a xanax to help me with it,and got out and went to town anyway..
I think i may have got to excited and anxious over Christmas eve and day....
I also may have over indulged myself with to much sugar treats and food....
I sure hope this will go away soon..........bren
