Welcome Melissa,

I am glad you found us and the cbt program here on this web site...
The program does work and remember to take your time when working the sessions..Your free to just post and talk about how you are feeling and you can ask for assistance if you want to also...I usually go with my own gut feelings when reading and working the program..I do post about how I am feeling and the progress I am making and some words of encouragement are also nice to hear once in a while....We are all unique individuals and what works for each of us and how we work the program is unique also...

Hi Melissa & Welcome.

As Davit said you have come to the right place and the program does work.  You just need to put in the time and go through each section offered in the under the 'Toolbox'.  Be sure to take it one step at a time and get the most out of these forums by asking questions and posting often.

You will find sincere support and encouragement from the members here!

Hi MelisaM

The program works, definitely. If you are Bipolar the program will not be the problem but forcing yourself to do it. During the Manic phase you will think you don't have to and during the depressed phase you won't want to. Just so you know if this is all new to you. I have Bipolar friends doing very well with CBT. One of them phones me and I remind her when she is not doing her part. She is doing very well.

We are here to support and help and we will. We are here for you. Members (me) and professionals. Post often and post anything. Even just the first few sessions can make a big difference.

Again the program does work.

Davit.

Hi!  I'm so glad I found this website.  I have been diagnosed with panic disorder, manic depression and agoraphobia.  There is not a day that goes by that I don't have at least two panic attacks.  Yesterday, I forced myself to go on a short hike with my daughter and had a terrible panic attack.  I hardly go anywhere or do anything and battle my symptoms all day long.  I was on Celexa for a while and it helped, but I got so bad I couldn't even go back to the doctor because I couldn't stand waiting in the waiting room or the examination room.  I can't go to stores or restaurants or any kind of public forum.  I constantly feel like I am going to die or simply not be able to breathe.I have bought all kinds of programs but nothing works.  I hope this program helps.
