Ah, core beliefs.

Even when it is proved wrong people with PD still believe they are not good enough or ugly or something negative. Even the cured still fight with this. I know, I still do.

Hello Ashley. You went to the point. As a sufferer with anxiety and depression I always felt that other people did not care about me. This went for several years and now I realize that this was due to my illness and cognitive distortions of the reality.

I was always looking for evidence that supported my distorted thinking which was so frustrated. Now I am more concerned in myself and I am not responsible for the behavior of other people. Of course I care for people around me, but I try more to give than to receive (when reasonable and with good sense)

Members,

As we’ve seen before, depression and anxiety can result in many other issues.  People with depression or anxiety often feel that they’re different from others and/or that people somehow can tell that they’re “different” or “not right”.  As a result people with anxiety or depression are often on the lookout for evidence that others are rejecting them.

Have any members here felt this way?
