Hi Kisha,

Welcome to our support community and thank you for sharing your story with us. There are many people within this support group that share the same questions and concerns as you.  We are all a group of individuals who support each other.

If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests.  These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor.

We also have developed a Panic Program.  This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above.  Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead.

These tests may or may not be for you but they are "free".  If you have any question or concerns with our “TOOLS”, you can contact us at support@paniccenter.net.  We are the Support Specialist for The Panic Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have.

Please continue to strive forward and lean on us for support.

Kisha.

Hello and welcome to the site. This is a site of hope and happenings because we here will give you hope and if you follow the program it will happen. I am not supposed to prescribe so I can not tell you to switch to diazepam from your lorazapam but I can tell you that I had less problem with cycling up and down on diazepam than on lorazapam, because it has a longer half life and there are no dead spots. If you read the posts you will see that there is more than hope here there is definitely happening. You will see the improvement and you will get an understanding of what is happening to you and what to do about it. Write as often as you want and about anything you want. We are here to help where ever we can.

I can relate. I posted a bit ago about OCD and panic attacks.
I have had panic attacks since I was a child and I know how bad they can be. As an adult I go through long periods with no bad panic attacks and then, all of a sudden, they return in small form and then they become more than an annoyance.

I did take Lorazepam a long time ago for about 8 years. I then had a bad period of stress during my first marriage and was changed from what meds I was taking to diazepam and triavil. I have found no magic pill, but a combination of meds, therapy, either self or with a doctor, and lot's of exercise help a lot. Have you ever tried yoga? It can work wonders. Being out in the sun also helps a lot.

I really hope you find this group helpful, I know I have, and even more so now that I am also going through a rough time.

Hello, my name is Kisha. I have panic attacks. It started after bein hospitalized for hypothyroidismand being told I might have a anyeurysm. I was afraid to go anywhere for months for fear of I might drop dead somewhere. Come to find out no anyeurism. Well I got better and was ok. I moved back to my home state and all sudden started again. I get this intense itchiness and burning on my eet and hands, I feel weak in the legs, light head, sweaty. I am not as bad if I have someone with me. When I go to a store I hold onto the cart because I am scared that I might pass out. I have been avoiding hoinh to plaves like this. I just want to get better. My doctor lowered my thyroid meds thinking this may help. This was 2 weeks ago but I am still having them. I take 0.05 mg Lorazepam and it seems to help. I hope I can meet people here that understand what I am going through. Thanks
