Hello All.

Well. I still can't get my perception a bright green but it is green with some darker tones. Better than two days ago when all I could see was black, gray and a bit of yellow. Only once have I got a total emerald green.

There's that negative word again.  (Well) But I'm not sure that a comma after it, or quotation marks around the whole sentence don't change it's meaning. It is such a small negative.

I wonder what other tools people have that they could share? Every bit helps.

When I learned some relaxation techniques one of the colours we used to breathe in was a soft lilac colour.  It was supposedly cleansing and calming.  Notice how you breathe in cool air, it warms inside the lungs and as you exhale it is warm.  Now visualize breathing in a soft purple colour and let it swirl inside your lungs, cleanse and refresh and when you breathe out, imagine it a mossy green, swamp colour.  That would represent your negative vibes, your illness, your tension, whatever.  You get rid of it.

Thanks for sharing ladybug! That is great information to help with the daily healing. It is really interesting to know the different effects that colours can have. Thank you!

Hi
I always like to share anything I've learnt along the way was introduced to colour therapy at a confidence building course so here you go:

Red - vital, powerful,warm, determined,assertive,impatient.
Orange/Peach - warm,secure,glowing,creative,stimulating, uplifting, joy.
Yellow - uplifting, happy, light, bright, mentally stimulating, intelligent
Green - harmonizing, mental and physical relaxation, peaceful, natural, cooling, calming, balancing
Turquoise - refreshing, cooling, mentally calming, youthful, strengthing concentration, confidence
Blue - cooling, relaxing, mentally calming, bringing peace, tranquillity, sensitive, hopeful
Purple - dramatic, spiritual, intuitive, protective
White - peaceful, purifying, cold, isolating
Black - comforting, mysterious, protective, restrictive
Gray - independant, separating, lonely
Gold - wisdom, understanding, powerful, high ideals, abundance
Brown - nurturing, earthy, supportive, retreating, narrow minded

Sorry sounds alot but prior to the course I didn't realise how colour could have such an effect on you when I looked at my wardrobe of clothes they were all black, brown or neutral its surprising how wearing a bit of colour can lift your mood, I've actually started putting some colour into the house as well its so uplifting to be surrounded by even a bit of colour.

I have always loved the color GREEN. I never knew that being surrounded by it makes you relaxed and calmed. It's no wonder why I always feel calmed when-ever I see the color green.

Hi Red

Nice picture. I just pictured you in red is all. Have you heard or read about colour and mood. Has anybody for that matter. I was told the colour green is soothing, maybe that is why parks and forests are green and mountain streams. I was also told it stimulates appetite. (Better to have a picnic on a lawn than a sidewalk.) When I was in the hospital and stressed out I was told to visualize the colour green with my eyes closed till it was all I could see.  I was told any colour would work but green was best. The odd thing is that the only time I have been able to fill my total perception with green is when I'm calm. Other wise I get a spot or maybe a patch. It is like meditation. See right now I can get a bit of yellow and some gray and black but no green. I am far too tense. Try it and see.

Moderators: What do you think. Have you heard of this. It has a name but I can't remember it though I think I would recognize it.

Be active in your daily healing and make it about you.  I really like this idea.  This is something that I need to think about and start doing for me now.

Members,

Be active in your daily healing and make it about you! Pick one day and start from the top. Your mind and body deserve a break, so give in to pampering, sleeping, and healing.

There are many avenues to choose from. What do you like to do? What do you want to do? Do you want to do it alone or with someone else?

Make a list of relaxing and pampering items and activities that please you. Everyone is entitled to a little break and this is only for you.

Do you want to sleep the day away?

Do you want to incorporate your favorite activity or game?

Do you want to have coffee with a friend?

Do you want a date night? Girls’ night? Boys’ night?

Do you want a pampering day, just for you?

You can make it happen! Pick a date and run with it. Plan a few events and make the appointments well in advance. Look forward to doing what you want for a change and reward yourself and your mind and body with relaxation, your way.

Ease yourself of that extra stress and focus on nothing but how good you feel J

Remember if you can’t take a whole day for you, 2 half days will work just as well. The idea is to take care of you first and the rest will follow.

How are you taking care of yourself?
