Maggi i want to congratulate you for your success today. First in going to the doctor and staying calm for most of it. The doctor's can be a scary place. And also for learning something new that is scary for you and sticking with it and learning it. I am also proud of you for realizing how big a success your day was! You did well girl! As for dealing with the new meds and the fears that come with the new condition to treat, we are all here for you and we are all ready to listen to you and help you along :) you can count on us. Mostly tho, you are strong and courageous and you can count on yourself to get through this . I truely beleive you have it in you to get better. Well I had to go do the doctors yesterday for a very important appointment. I was so consumed by worry that I only landed up getting about 2 hours of sleep (even following a sleeping pill). Anyways, I did what I had to do and off I went. I managed to get my blood work done with little anxiety involved and no actual attack. I couldnt believe it considering how little sleep I got and how delirious I felt (and how scared I am of those exact feelings). Following this, I headed over to my nurses office to get my fist shot of treatment for a medical condition I am trying to treat. For most of the appointment I kept calm and collected, even laughed a little. But as soon as she brought out the needles (and pills), and it was time for me to learn how to self- inject, I began to cry and panic. I felt bad about this, but she told me it was completely normal and it was good for me to get my feelings out after all the anticipation. I guess I am writing this because it is a success after all; I am trying to see it that way anyhow. Now I am on this new medication and having to battle a whole new bag of anxieties from the side effects of this medicine. As well I am having to fight my fears that medication can make me go crazy or have something awful happen to me overnight. I have a year of this treatment ahead of me and at the same time battling my panic disorder. I am going to try and stay positive and keep praising myself when it is deserved. Sorry if the moderators dont really see this as pertaining to anxiety, but it really has everything to do with that for me. Thanks for listening.

[font=Georgia]Well, I had to face another night of being awake all by myself. In addition to this I wasnt feeling so well and had to face some withdrawal symptoms from the ativan I had to take everyday for a few days there, as well as last nights sleeping pill. So I decided to get busy and first I gave my dog a bath, then I worked on my boyfriends birthday gift for 2 and a half hours or so. That was really difficult at first; I get nervous knowing that I must commit to something sometimes. I think for some reason it makes me feel stuck, and we all know how much we hate to feel confined in our current situations. Anyhow, eventually I got into the flow of working on his gift, but then out of nowhere I felt so sick to my stomach and so panicked I started feeling weird within my house again and like I was about to lose control. At this, I decided I would not let myself mope or take ativan tonight, and so I ate instead. Then I went and cleaned the kitty litter out and did more than a sink full of dishes. It was really difficult, but I did it. I decided to post this small success to help cheer me on for the rest of the night. Wish me luck! Go Maggie Go! LoL. Ps.) I would like to specifically thank Isabella, Danielle and Diva for helping me gain some strength back and work through nights like these. Thank you so much- and thank you to everyone else too! Diva, Small stuff is as important as the big stuff. Getting pats on the back for the small everyday victories has helped inspire many and encourage those sharing their victories to conquer bigger battles. Please share! Danielle _______________________ The PC Support Team

Was just wondering how big or small theese success stories had to be for us to share them. Is i managed to open my door today something to be shared or is it more like i have been doing well for a year type of success stories in here. I think the small stuff i good to write down to. I mean if somebody managed to open their front door and look outside for the first time in a while i want to know about it and say yes! gratz! way to go! I think every little act of courage deserves being noted. Those acts of courage are what makes us get better. Anyway that is just my opinion and what do i know. Of course the big success stories are great and i wanna hear those too. I love seeing people who did it and are doing great. It gives me hope that i can have it too :) Anyway i think theese threads are a great idea^^
