hi, i'm off to the doc tomorrow, i'm trying to be calm that nothing bad is going to be discovered and just saying its all going to be ok, I've been keeping busy, and trying not to worry, so will keep you posted:) thanks darkblue, I just tend to beat myself up a bit when i'm not doing stuff, for some reason I feel bad just lying on the couch watching TV I feel I should be doing something better...

Stop for a second and look how far you have come. And know in yourself you will never go back. The only way is forward from here on.

Remember that it's important to have some lazy days. We all need them.

I see you are from South Africa, I grew up there:) I do love going to the gym, some days I feel light headed tho, not sure if I over do it, tho some days I feel so amazing when I leave..I hope to go tomorrow, ride my bike up there and do a light workout. I like to go in the morning when everyone is at work and i'm the only one around there:) thanks for you words of encouragement.

I am also a gym panicker. I had my first PA there so I know exactly how you feel. I have found that just going back and back and back to the gym even if I feel panicky eventually was a cure for me. Now the gym is release for me and a great distraction. If it really a problem for you then begin by only doing the things you enjoy doing. This will improve your motivation and just being exposed to the gym will begin to make you feel better.

I particularly hate being there in the evenings, when it is very busy, so I began by going over weekends and odd times. Eventually I totally lost my fear of the gym.

I had an echocardiogram after my PD began to reassure myself that my heart was fine. I was terrified of the idea. I literally sat on the doctors bench shaking from fear. But the experience is nothing. It can be quite fun. After a while I relaxed and felt good looking at my healthy heart beating away happily (albeit a bit rapidly). Any sonar type of measurement is quite pleasant really. I found that by just telling the doctor up-front that I was nervous helped and he was very reassuring.

I'm glad to hear it's going well at the job. Self talk can be quite helpful and just moving on to another task. I'm sure there is always something to do there..lol.. I've seen the tables..

You deserve to relax especially now that you're working. Not working out is fine.. Go when you feel like it :). You're getting out more than ever now.

As for you ultrasound, the procedure itself is nothing to be fearful of (nothing painful or scary - actually very calm unless you're pregnant and have to pee...lol.. Too much info I know) and try to remember it's a diagnostic test. One that will give you answers to questions that you have. That will then allow you to move forward with whatever it is. I hope it's nothing too serious...

Hi all, i'm off today, its going well, if I feel dizzy, I just say "you're ok" over and over again. I did take the bus up to the gym, had a bit of a panic attack and my friend had to come and pick me up..but other than that i'm doing fine. I have to go for an ultra sound next week and i'm a bit nervous.

I was supposed to workout today, Its my first day off alone for a while and I feel tired, I want to just relax but I feel guilty I should be working out. Maybe i'll just leave it and go on thursday i'm off as well. other than that all is well, thanks for the kind words.

I'm on the same page with you right now. Went to work yesterday and was a bit dizzy but went well! I guess we all have it on our first few days. I know you will do well tomorrow/today! Congrats.
