I just wanted to say that I have experienced the pain and numbness in my left arm while having a panic attack. I also had some numbness in my face. Hope things are getting better for you now.

Jo, The best authority to determine whether your symptoms are due to other causes or panic alone. We are sorry to hear that you had a horrible day. We encourage you to engage in some thought challenging exercises and continue your exposure work with driving perhaps shortening the distances for the time being. Remember, relapses happen but you can push through! Danielle ____________________ The PC Support Team

Hiya Jo, I agree with ConquerQueen on what she said. I also want to say I am sorry to hear you are having a tough time. As for the dizzy I often get dizzy when under stress. As for the numb thing, it has not happened to me often or in a long time but it has happened to me a long time ago. I was sure I was dying. It was during a really bad panic attack. Just thought I would share that with you. Anyway, hang in there. -Diva

HI Jo, Sorry you had such a trying time. Here is what I think.....Maybe you could have an ear infection if it is sore, swimming can cause infections in the ear, and that does make you feel dizzy.I really do belive they were anxiety symptoms.(If it didn't pass I would think other wise) I also belive the on set of your period can cause physical (and mental) upset. I often feel very lethargic and dizzy(and grummppy)at that time of the month,I am not sure about the loss of feeling but could very weel be the anxiety too. I hope you are feeling better soon.DON'T LET IT GET THE BETTER OF YOU, GET OUT THERE AND TRY AGAIN, TRY NOT TO BE SCARED OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AND THEN IT MAY GO AWAY ALOT SOONER.(Face it) Take Care ConquerQueen

WHILE DRIVING THE CAR IN A SPILT SECOND I COULD NOT FEEL THE PEDDLES OR MY CLOTHES I WAS WEARING I SCRATCHED MY ARM AND COULD NOT FEEL THAT MUCH, EARS THEN WENT DEAF, VISION AND FOCUS WENT AND BANG FELT MEGA FAINT WHICH TERRIFIES ME TO FEEL FAINT OR FAINT LIKE ALL THE BLOOD SUDDENLY SUCKED OUT THEN STARTED SHAKING, I PULLED OVER RANG MY HUSBAND BUT COULD NOT FEEL THE PHONE VERY WELL TO HOLD IT OR HEAR HIM WAS LIKE HIS WAS MILLIONS OF MILES AWAY, IT PASSED IN A FEW MINUTES AND I MANAGED TO GET MYSELF HOME AND EVEN WENT BACK OUT THAT AFTERNOON ONLY UP THE ROAD AND BACK. CAN ANXIETY CAUSE YOU TO FEEL NUMB ALL OVER ITS WEIRD AS YOU CANNOT FEEL ANYTHING, I FELT A BIT BLURRY EYES AND HAS A PAIN IN MTY ARM BEFORE I WENT OUT SO MAYBE I STARTED MYSELF OF AS I HAVE BEEN REALLY GREAT FOR A GOOD FEW MONTHS NOW AND DRIVING THE CAR WAS A HUGE ISSUE FOR ME AND HAVE BEEN DOING IT SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK AND ENJOYING IT, JUST FELT MUCH MORE RELAXED AND HAPPY ABOUT THINGS AND THOUGH GREAT MAYBE I WAS GETTING SOMEWHERE. TODAY HOWEVER I GOT UP FEELING A BIT DIZZY AND IT STILL WITH ME MY EAR FEEL A BIT FUNNY NOW I AM WORRYING STOKE OR SOMETHING BECAUSE OF YESTERDAY AND A THICK HEAD A BIT SO DON'NT WANT TO GO OUT TODAY ALTHOUGH I WANT TO GO SWIMMING LATER BIT WORRIED ABOUT THAT I HAVE BEEN GOING 3 TIMES A WEEK LATELY AND ENJOYING THAT AS WELL. I AM DUE THE YUCKY GIRLY TUMMY ACHE IN A FEW DAYS COULD THIS MAYBE BE THE DIZZINESS AS I HAVE BEEN A BIT GRUMPY. WE HAVE HAD A AWFUL LOT OF STRESS IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS WITH MY HUSBANDS FAMILY IF ANYONE READ MY PREVIOUS POST.
