Research has shown that periods of long stress do weaken the immune system. Panic disorder engages the same response fight/flight response as stress so yes it's possible. The best course of action is to do your best to take care of yourself by eating well and trying to get enough sleep. Also be sure to keep working through the program. If you can decrease the influence of the root cause, you'll be much better off.
