Panic for no reason

Christina, Welcome to The Panic Center. We thank you for sharing your story with us today. This support group is full of supportive individuals who may be able to help you answer some questions regarding panic and anxiety. It is great to hear that you are making an appointment to see a doctor. In the meantime please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Take care and we hope to hear from you soon. Hiya Christina! First i would like to welcome you to the forums :) Second, I think you are taking all the right steps atm. Your doctor will be able to run some tests and give you a proper diagnosis. But in the meantime to help you let him know what is going on you should take the anxiety test that is on this website. You can print your results and bring them to your doctor and that can be a good starting point for you to explain what is going on with you. Third, I must tell you that i have panic attacks in different locations, situations, for different reason, sometimes unexpectedly out of the blue. So just because you don't perceive yourself as stressed does not mean you are not having panic attacks. But as I said i think you are taking the right steps by going to your doctor, He is the person to go to to check this out. Once you know what is up with you, you can deal with it and it will get better :) Anyway, kep us posted! and remember, this too shall pass! So hang in there! -Diva

Hi i am new to the forum. For the last few weeks i have had episodes of panic where i can breathe, feel faint, and my left hand goes numb. I also feel in a dreamlike state. I have made a doctors appointment for tomorrow as i am not sure if this is a panic attack as i am not thinking about anything stressful at the time, and it has happened in different places not just in one situation. It normally happens when i am relaxed. Could i be stressed and not know it? I am worried as it is getting worse as all i can think about is whether or not i am seriously ill. Please help x Christina
