Hi there, nice to see some-one else from the u.k !! I'm Sue and had my first panic attack in Detroit in May 2003, and that seemed to be the end of my life for nine months or so, yet here I am nearly four years down the road, panic free since then ! I had such an awful time, I thought I'd never recover, but I did, and knowing that I know you too can beat this 'thing'. You can do it, you've done it before, look after yourself, get medication if you think that helps, don't underestimate the power of good sleep, and use this site ! It really is excellent, just wish we had one in the u.k !!! Wish you all the best.

Moochela, Welcome to the Panic Center! This is what is otherwise known as nocturnal panic and can be related to the anxiety level you experienced during the day. Please know that you are not alone, you can read through our forums to find past threads on this topic. Try getting into a routine that promotes relaxation before bed and continue to work through the program. If you can tackle the root causes of your panic as a whole, this symptom will dissipate. To start working on your panic cycle, please begin our CBT program located in your session diary. If you have any questions, just ask. We are always here to help. I am Moochela and have had panic attacks since I was a child, so about 30 yrs or so. I am fed up with them!! So am trying to do something about it by doing this work. I do not let them affect my life too much but it means that I do spend a large amount of my time feeling "ill", or anxious so it is time to change now. I mainly get panic attacks in the middle of the night, for the past year or so now but hardly ever in the day. Would be good to have some buddies to chat to for moral support so if anyone out there wants to get in touch let me know :)
