Scared about losing my mind

Hi virgo, Please do not feel that you have to go through these feelings alone. Take advantage of the program available here to help you gain insight into the increase in anxiety. Please be sure to follow up with your doctor to let them know how you have been feeling since being off of the medication. Casey ________________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

PS: check out askapatient and search your drug, there are ratings for satisfaction. Remember though, more people with negative experiences find it necessary to voice their opinions then people with positive ones. If the positive/negative seems about 50/50 it probably is more like 75/25 because alot of people with positive experiences are out enjoying life, not trying to knock the drug. Take it all with a grain of salt and good luck! Fixing

Virgo, You're NOT going to lose your mind. Getting off any anti-depresants can be very difficult for some people. I hope you went off with the consent of your doctor. I have also read many times that anti-depressants should be gradually tapered in dosage as you come off them. I have been scared to take anti-depressants because of the withdrawal symptoms, I've done alot of research - they're not pleasant! HOWEVER you will not go crazy! You may experience more than normal anxiety, irritabililty, also blurred vision and a wierd "electric shock" feeling, but all of these are TEMPORARY. Your doc should beable to help you with this, either by tapering your dosage more gradually or by introducing another drug (EG anti-anxiety) to reduce the withdrawal sypmtoms. Hang in there! FIXING
