Hypnosis

Hi Ashleigh, I've done hypnosis with my therapist. It really helps. You have nothing to fear. Hypnosis is not what most people think it is. You are in complete control at all times during the process - something that is important for anxiety sufferers! I see hypnosis as a wonderful relaxation techniques. It helped me pair situations that made me anxious (like eating, for example) with a feeling of calm and relaxation. Give it a try, let us know how it goes.

Hi Ashleigh V, Fellow members will be responding soon regarding the hypnosis, but please be sure to check with your doctor regarding your medication concerns. Casey ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Hi all!!! I was wondering if anyone has tried hypnosis or has heard anything good about it? I am going on Thursday for my first session with a hypnotist, and of course, I am a little nervous. I have crazy feelings as if, what if it doesn't work? Will it get worse? Will it make it worse???? From the people I have already spoken to, and the research that I have done, it is apparently applauded. Anyways, I was just wondering what everyone else's take on it is...Also...A symptom that I have been experiencing as of late. I almost feel dizzy/my eyes play tricks on me and stuff is blurry. I don't really know, its hard to explain, but its just a feeling of myself being "off". I keep telling myself that its just from the medication that the doctor upped on me, but my body is already immuned to the effexor, so should I not be already adjusted to the new dosage? Phew I am just exhausted with worrying about worrying. I even had myself convinced the other day that I had a brain tumour. Common, lets be honest - I DON'T HAVE A BRAIN TUMOUR - I have just been getting headaches due to stress and anxiety and the medication is just adjusting to my body again right?
