Hi Angie, I too get that sharp pain!! along with a couple of my friends....we mostly do the same type of task whether it be playing bingo, on computers home and work or anything else that involves the same movement from our arm/shoulder/neck. For me it's because my muscle tenses up and pulls causing sharp pains in my head if I re-adjust my position (move my head) the pain goes away quicker. I've spoke with my chiropractor and he explained it in medical terms. But it is basically what I said. Good luck.

Angel, How are you doing? that is amazing how we have the same symptoms. I truly believe that everybody has these little symptoms inside themselves, it's just that people with anxiety disorder tend to focus so hard on any little thing within their bodies that it ends up becoming a symptom in their mind. Then people like myself blow it way out of proportion. For ie: turning a litle pain their having into a belief that they might end up having a brain anurysm. Anxiety is a complicated disorder. I can do all the research I want but still cannot understand why I suffer from it. Taking meds and going to councelling is the best way for myelf to come to terms with maybe someday I'll be better. I have faith in myself and everybody else that suffers from this. We just have to stick together and support one another. It's calming to me just knowing that somebody else understands. Hope all is well with you! :)

Angie, Check with your pharmacist and doctor for medication side effects. they have a world of knowledge you can tap into. Josie _______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Angie, this is SO WIERD. U have to hear this. You took those words literally out of my mouth. Seconds ago, i was just asking my sister the SAME thing u are asking. I was just typing on the computer and I got this sharp pain in the side of my head on the RIGHT SIDE!!! I asked my sister is she gets that too cause it happened to me yesterday and it made me so nervous. Its a really uncomfortable shooting pain. I cannot believe you said the SAME THING!!!! wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I feel soooo much better now. Cause i thought this sypmtom was so unique that nobody would have it. anyhow, my sister told me she gets that pain too in her head once in a while. and she does not have anxiety/panic! so i guess its normal. Thanks sooooooo much for your post. That was really heaven sent! thanks a bunch ;)

I sometimes get discomfort in the side of my head, like someone is pulling it or applying pressure. I don't know if this helps you or not, but, I think that it is a symptom of anxiety. I'm not on medication...yet, so I don't know if it's an effect or not. I'm sorry that you're having these anxious thoughts, and, I hope you feel better.

Hello everyone, I was just wondering if anybody gets pains in the side of their head(mostly on the right side). It's not like it's a headache,it's more like liitle sharp pains when I move or when I'm concentrating on the computer or the tv.Any advice?? I've had two ct scans and nothing has shown up. Anxiety or side effects from effexor??
