What I constantly have to remind myself is this: There is no such disease where the symptoms either disappear or fade simply by being preoccupied with something else.
If you notice, when you're not anxious, these feelings go away or lessen. If you're busy doing something or you're talking and laughing with someone or you are in your safe place, these feelings always either disappear or become less noticeable. There is no disease on this entire planet where the symptoms go away when you stop thinking about it.
