Dry mouth

19 years ago 0 13 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Josy. I also get a dry mouth but I carry a small bottle of water with me, even at home. It helps to take my mind off the fact I have a dry mouth which I know is due to panic. I usually stop noticing it during the course of the day. Shell :)

Ease off the mints if you can, peppermint dries out the mouth.

I always get "metal mouth" when I am having a full blown attack. Gum helps me but I think it can be a crutch sometimes because when I don't have any gum I stress.

Check out 'symptoms of anxiety'. I find it's really helpful when I am fully aware of all the feelings/symptoms anxiety can cause. When you are armed with the information you can cut down on a lot of anxiety! Best wishes.......

Dry mouth is a classic symptom of anxiety, stop thinking about it and it will go away (easier said than done, I know) ;)

Well I think it is a good idea to see a Doctor. When I'm anxious or having a panic attack my mouth feels the same my lips get dry and my mouth too. After an interview or anyplace I'm it feels the same for me, and when I get home I just try to drink liquids. I hope you are Ok.
