HI Kitty, I can relate to you. Its just gas. U can try to do the soda thing...so u can burb it out. Or what helps me is, I just stretch out that area. If its gas, you need to stretch it out. Just stretch ur arms up or out and open up ur chest. It will really help. Trust me! Let me know if it works! HOpe u feel better hun.

I just went to the doctors about this a couple days ago. This is what the doctor told me. Get some antacid / antigas over the counter medicine in liquid form. Make sure one of the ingredients is Semithicone. Take a dose and see how you feel afterwards. If it goes away, no problem - it's just gas and / or acid reflux. If it gets worse or does not go away, go to a doctors. The problem is that heart attack feels the same as stomach problems in that the pressure occurs in your chest. Take the medicine first and if it does not go away within about an hour or especially if the pressure keeps getting worse, you start feeling extremely weak, extremely out of breath, extremely dizzy, pains in left arm and up neck and jaws - go to the doctors. BUT - try the medicine first. It helped me a ton!! Let us know how everything goes for you and hang in there!! Try to stay calm because the anxiety will only make it worse and happen more often.

I too have had this and it has also been wind. A decent can of soda will help shift it. Try standing and arching your back whilst pushing your chest out. That has helped me in the past.

I had that once. I phoned my husband at work (he is a nurse) and he talked to one of his co workers who used to work in a cardiac care unit. Over the phone they told me it wasn't my heart. I almost phoned 911. I called my neighbor and told her what was going on. She came over with a can a pop and told me to drink some fast. I did and then let up some huge burps and that got rid of the pressure and my arms felt normal. I have had the same thing a few times since and this cure always works. So I guess for me it was just gas, but it sure felt alot worse at the time. Why don't you give this a try and see if it works. If it does then you will know that it is just some trapped gas. Let us all know if this works. I am so glad we have all found this site where we can share with people who understand.
