Hey Kitty! I totally relate!! I've always had bouts of chest pressure when I get anxious, when I get stressed, when I'm upset about something, if my stomach is feeling out of whack or even if my back is feeling tight and sore, but the last three or four days it has been so bad that I went to the doctors about it. The pressure for me is right in the middle of my breasts and goes up into my throat. Sometimes I also get a really bloated feeling inbetween my belly button and ribcage area with it, but not always. I also was getting short of breath and felt like I was choking. Anyway, he did and EKG and listened to my heart and told my heart is really healthy and that the EKG was really good. He had me take some really strong antacid while I was there, which helped a little. He said that he believes it is a reflux kind of thing and wants me to take antacids and GasX for awhile and see if that helps. He also told me that after taking the meds, if the symptoms get worse, to go back to the doctor immediately because that would indicate a heart problem, but he didn't think that would happen because my heart sounds so good - just a precaution. He also told me that gastro problems feel alot like heart problems, but if you ever have a tight, squeezing or pressure in your chest and have not been diagnosed with gastro problems, that you should go to a doctor to be on the safe side. Sorry - don't mean to make you panic if I did. I think you should go to the doctor to make sure you're ok. I told him I felt stupid going in because my panic always makes me think I'm having a heart attack and he told me that because of the pressure and tightness in my chest, I did the right thing. I also think the reason I get so much pressure in my chest is because I sit at a computer all day typing so I don't think my posture is all that great. I think it not only pushes my gut up into my ribcage causing the gastro irritation, but it also makes those muscles in my chest tight and achy. Don't know if that just made you more anxious about it, I'm very sorry if it did!! I just wanted to let you know what my doctor said. Be safe and go in. -IF- they find something wrong, be assured that there are many, many, many things that can be done for heart problems and you wi
