I'm glad you liked the poem. I was thinking of you when I posted it. It made me cry the first time I read it, too. I have a copy of it in my purse and I keep it with me. Congratulations on going to the ER! I know how afraid you are of the doctors so that's a huge step! :) It sounds to me like you got wonderful care there. I seriously think you need to change primary doctors though. The one you are seeing now is not doing his job and you deserve better! Don't worry about being rushed out of the ER. That's how they work. They are in a constant mind frame of rush, rush, rush because at any minute they could have a serious emergency so they have to get the less urgent (although important) patients through quicker. The reason they didn't do any gastro type stuff there is because the ER is only there to put out the fire at this moment. If it isn't life threatening, they always suggest you see your doctor for follow up tests and what not after they take care of what is going on right now. I know the side effects of the new medicine are scary, but I really think you should take it. Infections don't clear up on their own and even though it is mostly gone, there is still some there and it could easily flare back up. Take the meds and get rid of it. It'll be ok! I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious today! I know it's really frustrating having a really good day and then the next day you're knocked down flat again. I've been having some really good days lately and today I've been kind of nervous off and on. I think it's because school registration is next week and I'm worried about so much that goes along with that - money for registration and school clothes, both of my boys are going in new schools this year (one in junior high and the other in high school), the schedule changes and working around it all, etc.... etc.... etc.... Not to mention all the regular worries of every day life. -OIY- Hang in there Debbie! I know you can get through this! And take your medicine for your infection so it can go away! Side effects (especially the really serious ones) are rare. They have to list all possibilities in case they get sued by someone. Just because they are listed, does not mean they will happen. You don't want the infection to flare

Hi Vickers, I just saw you posted me. I also read your "why me" I cried it was like that was written for me, thanks for posting me and thank you for that poem, how beautiful and profound. I posted a few moments ago that I went to the ER last night, out of frustration fear and desperation! I did it all by myself too, you would of been proud of me Vickers I conducted myself as best I could. They said I had an allergic reaction to the Levaquin, and changed me to Macrobid, have you heard of this, I wanted amoixicillian, I know I cant take that and I tolerate it, the Macrobid has even more scary side effects than the levaquin and I can not go through that again, since the infection is almost gone, I will just see how it goes, I can always take it if it comes back. I told him about the blood regurgitating, he told me to take "pepicid" have you heard of that? The Doctor and nurse were very nice to me and kind, it just felt very very hurried and rushed and my hubby does not think they solved anything, what do you think? am I going to be alright? I slept last night but woke up alot with sweating then I would chill, that was kind of strange, was that panic or nerves or perimenopause? I never really did that before, perhaps my body is so exhausted I do not know. Please write me when you can Vickers and let me know what you think, I so value your opinion. I hope you are well and the kids, it has been so hot here in Florida, is Utah hot too? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you and God bless you, Debbie.
