Dear Mvaction5, I read your post and I was wondering how you are doing? I have started to have this problem, severe dizziness with blurred vision and daily headaches, I am taking Paxil, sometimes I think it causes these symptoms. What dosage are you on? did it take quite a while to work? I believe these symptoms I am having are bringing on the panic attacks, I have had a catscan and an eye exam and they say everything is alright. Please let me know how you are doing. God bless, Debbie.
Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you're having dizzy spells. I too have them sometimes, especially on waking so always keep a drink by the side of my bed, some flat diet coke seems to do the trick. Low blood sugar levels can cause this. I always find I get dizzy when I allow myself to get more tired than I should. Its not nice, but does go fairly quickly. I think its fairly common for people without anxiety too, so try not to worry about it too much, but you could try a sugar drink, or a sweet biscuit, or have your blood sugar levels checked. The only problem with this is that by the time you've ate and gone to the doctors its probably going to be fine ! Hang in there !
I know that dizziness and that unbalanced feeling comes from many different things - one of them being anxiety. I have the same problem. The more I think about it, the worse it gets and the more often it happens. Have you had tests done for inner ear problems or iron deficiency problems? I recently learned that I had low iron and after taking vitamins with iron (per the doctor's suggestions) this has gotten tons better. Also, not drinking enough water (64 oz daily) can cause dizziness.
Have your iron checked. Also, have your ears checked. Those are the two most common causes of dizziness. But, also remember that anxiety causes it as well.
Hope that helps. Hang in there! ;)
About 30 years ago, I had got an unbalanced feeling when I walked. Four yrs prior to this current episode I had no dizziness. I was on paxil.
About 30 years ago i went to doctor to doctor to find out why I was getting unbalanced. I never got a definitive answer. I was on paxil at the time my dizziness went away. About 1 year ago my doctor switched me lexapro. I went back on paxil recently because I am starting to get panic attacked from this new episode of dizziness and unbalanced. I am starting to freak out. How do I cope with this feeling. My primary care doctor stated my bp was up because I was not calm. Any suggestion.
