Myth or Fact?

14 years ago 0 1562 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
It is true that Alcoholism is not determined by how often people drink but whether or not they can control their drinking once they start. They are talking about the physical craving that kicks in once they put the 1st drink in there body. But then there is also the mental obsession. The insanity when it comes to taking the first drink. They usually convince themselves that it going to be better this time. And in forced sobriety they are restless, irritable and discontent.

That is the reason "just don't drink and go to meetings" does not work for the alcoholics.

Members,

Myth: Alcoholics drink every day
Fact: Some alcoholics drink only on weekends, some abstain for months. Alcoholism is not determined by how often people drink but whether or not they can control their drinking once they start.

What are your thoughts on this?
