Hey WizardRae!!!

Congrats!!!  With over a month behind you, it looks like you are well on your way to a lifetime quit!  ;-)  Just remember that the nico-demon is a sneaky little s#%**!!! Keep your guard up and keep those rewards coming for every little quit milestone you achieve!  Your reward of the upgraded Spotify account sounds like an awesome reward for for an fantastic achievement!!!  Don't look back... a beautiful life is ahead of you!

Early in my quit I would jump on my mini trampoline or go for a brisk walk on the beach to beat cravings. The more I exercised, the stronger and more confident I became. Hang in there, be good to yourself and don't smoke! :-)

I decided that my "Trigger Time" is going to be my time at the Gym. I have a membership and never really go so this will give me something to do while getting healthy! I also decided as one of my rewards to get a Spotify Premium membership that way I can listen to music at the gym :) Each day is hard but I'm happy to say I am now over a month smoke free!

Hi WizardRae,

Having cravings for cigarettes at a certain time is very normal. It's great that you identified this as now you know this time period is a trigger for you. When we know our triggers it gives us a hint on what to work on. How can you prepare for these times? What part of your schedule can you change? Sometimes small changes can really help. The more you plan these time periods the easier it will become.

I am wondering how other members manage their high trigger times?

Hi WizardRae, A number of people have had this same issue. I copied a link from one of the forums, hope the link works. If not, do a search for "what to expect", and start reading on the last page 1st. http://sg.stopsmokingcenter.net/supportv7/viewmessages.aspx?forum=5&topic=40173&ForumName=Coping with Cravings&TopicTitle=What to Expect when you Quit!# Not One Puff Ever

I don't know if anyone else goes through this but I find that I have my worst craving and weakest moment at the same time everyday. 5pm - 8 or 9pm is when I am at my worst. There is no reason for that because it wasn't like I did anything special at that time... Im not sure what to make of it, all I know is its getting harder and harder not easier. Im getting into more fights with my boyfriend and just being all around depressed. I just want these feelings to go away because Im trying so hard to be strong but it just keeps eating at me.
