I'[m here to stop smoking, and to help support everyone else who wants to kick this godawful habit.

I first smoked at age 10, and was an addicted, regular smoker from not long after. Everyone in my family smoked.

I was smoking between 20 and 30 per day at my heaviest, and I kept that up for years and years. I developed asthma and eczema  as an adult due to smoking.
Over the last few years I've reduced to between 5 and 10 per day, and have had several encouraging but ultimately unsuccessful attempts to cease. My longest was 3 months with no tobacco, but it's an addiction and I relapsed. Overall I've been smoking for nearly 28 years.

I went cold turkey on 9th March this year, and I fully intend to never smoke again. My wife no longer smokes so there's no tobacco in the house, and I'm determined to prevent my 8 year old daughter from picking up this filthy, destructive habit as she moved through into her teens.
