Congratulations. 12 years is amazing and I think it is beautful that you did it for your daughter but now yourself .

Your ex doesn't know what he is missing. You are one strong and determined lady. Thank you for inspiring us.

Dear Jennifer,

I no longer log in here, but read stats from time to time....I don't want to miss great stats from great quitters like you!

So sorry to hear of all your troubles, and huge congratulations to have weathered it all without even thinking of smoking!  You are a true example of a quitter!

Congratulations on your DOZEN years, jen_quit.

So sorry that your husband couldn't keep the quit with you. But it sounds like you have your life under control, regardless of what comes your way. There seems to be something about really quitting smoking that is very empowering, and that flows over into other areas of life.

You're a rock and a role model, jen_quit. Thanks for coming back to post.

Hi everyone!

My 12 year anniversary came and went on July 27th and I didn't even notice.  I think that's a good sign that I don't smoke, smoking is pretty far behind me.  For those of you that knew me when I quit, my baby girl just graduated high school and is turning 18 in the fall.  She is the one I originally quit for, now it's for me!

My husband didn't keep his quit.  He not only began smoking again, but drinking and smoking pot as well.  It's been over a year since he left us for another woman and we are going through a divorce now.  Even in the midst of all of his addict drama, I was never even tempted to smoke.  Quite truthfully the thought never crossed my mind.

Sarah and I are well and happy and I'm so thankful for our close relationship.  So if you are struggling to remain quit, just do whatever it takes, it is worth it, YOU are worth it!

Take care and much love to all,

Jennifer
