Boy I sure need to quit

Six days smoke free is excellent! Just take it day-by-day. Don't think about forever: just think about not smoking now, this minute, this hour, this day.

Hey LK,

Welcome to the SSC and congrats for giving your quit another go!  Vow to yourself here and now that this WILL be your forever quit!  I was a longtime smoker like you and finally decided that I wanted to quit more than I wanted to smoke!  If your desire to quit is stronger than your desire to smoke, you will become a non-smoker!

Stick close, read and learn from your fellow quit buddies here and let us know how we can help!  You CAN do this!!!  We're all rooting for you!

Congratulations on your decision to quit. it looks like you made it through the first 3 days, which are the hardest.

If you haven't already done so, please check out "my program" and "tools" buttons. There are many helpful resources there.

Feel free to read around and post whenever you need to. There are people here who are ready to share their experiences, give pep talks, and lend a "listening ear" as needed.

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

I have COPD & now got pnemonia. I have tried to quit a thousand times with every method out there. I always start smoking again. I am 55 years old & have been smoking for 43 years. I need to a quit so I don't die which is inevitable, if I keep smoking. I want to see my grand kids grow up & my kids succeed with their futures. I quit on 10/17/13 and have to find a way to stay quit. It is so hard....
