"It Hit Me Hard"

Thank you so much for your advice words and caring, it meant so much to me. I am a little better, you are correct Vickers I have had it since a little girl and it has not killed me yet, look at you what you have been through since Jan and you are handling it, I will try to do the same. Cat, that progesterone cream and the others you recommended sound interesting I will look into them, I think just about every woman has high anxiety right before her period, whether she has panic or not, I will have to learn to work through it. Thank you again all for your help. God bless, Debbie.

Hope you are doing better Debbi. This is just a minor setback, remember that. Also, try to remind yourself of last month when it was not that bad.

Your female hormones, which, by the way, happen to come from your adrenal gland(fight or flight!) make PMS a more panicky time. You may want to try some progesterone cream, which is all natural and can be purchased at the healthfood store. Soy also contains phyto(plant)estrogens, which is why many women in Asian countries do not have the menopause symptoms we have here, they eat so much soy.If you get the cream, rub 1/4t. into a soft part of your body, I use my wrist, if it absorbs within 30 seconds, you need another 1/4t until it takes longer to absorb. This is the most accurate way to diagnose and treat a hormonal imbalance from PMS. Use the cream daily throughout the month, except when you have your period, just like the pill. Native American women used Black or Blue Cohash for this purpose, PMS, menopause, and as birth control. Another herb which contains all 4 phytoestrogens is red clover. You can buy the tea at most stores or pick it in your back yard like I do (it's the big pink clovers) dry it and make tea. I have treated a number of patients this way successfully, and they have been very grateful. If your PMS is REALLY bad right now, I would reccomment the cream most, since you can tell by the absorbtion rate how much is needed. You may have to stay on this protocal for up to a year to straighten out your hormones. P.S. I am not a Dr., 4 classes away from my Dr. of Naturopathy, but have worked under Drs. for years and helped treat their pts. Don't want to dispense info. without a liscence, just passing on what I have learned, and what the cream pamphlet tells you. I really helped me when I used the cream, it took about a year, and my pds. went from 7 days to 3, and I had no PMS at all!

Don't worry Debbie - I promise you won't bleed to death! Menstruation is very natural and important for your body to stay healthy - although it seriously stinks!!! I am so sick of menstruating! One thing I have learned is that when we have a bad experience with something, we tend to get anxious about that experience every time after until we realize that it's not a danger, which takes time. Remember that your period is important and it will go away. You've dealt with it your whole life since a young girl and it hasn't killed you yet. ;) It isn't going to kill you now. I know it's scary but remember that it will be ok. It's only for a week and just because it was really bad that one time when you were having a really panicky time with it doesn't mean it's going to be that way every time. Try to remember that. Hang in there! I know you can do it!!

After almost 2 months of not having a full-blown attack, I had one today that blew me away! I slept bad, terrible nightmares, woke up, realized my monthly was starting and went into a shaky panic that was awful. I feel drained and so upset with myself, all those old feelings of "bleeding to death" and fainting are coming back, I cannot believe it, the intensity of which it returned so bad and quick. I know my monthly has brought this on, its Father's Day and I do not want to ruin my husbands day, he know through, he can always tell, I thought he would be pleased I went so long without one, instead he raised his voice and started about "mind control" and "bringing it on myself" exactly what I do NOT need to hear. I am praying this is short-lived, I dread my period {last month was alright} now I fear that bleeding again, I feel so ashamed of myself to have this phobia. Please send prayers. To Outlaw and all the other Fathers on this site "Happy Fathers Day" I hope everyone is having a good one. Thanks for listening, God bless, Debbie.
