Three weeks!

Ahh - to become an excellent chef as you twirl around the kitchen in your amazingly chic new apron!  What a wonderful reward for breaking that habit in 21 days!  You are doing great Kristine! Your ups and downs prove how hard it is, but you are cooking with gas now! Congrats :)

49 days, 735 cigs not smoked, $196.61 not spent on killing myself, over 5 days added to my life.
it's been rough over these last few days.  just rescued a 5 month old terrier mix puppy.  yikes!  but i am taking it one moment at a time.  trying to stay a non smoker.

Those first three weeks are a big accomplishment. As I mentioned in another post today, when I started, I was only able to give up specific cigarettes and wait 2 weeks before giving up any more. So 3 weeks with no smokes is a very big deal. Enjoy your rewards!

Not an especially lengthy milestone but somebody told me that 21 days is how long it takes to make or break a habit, so I had put the 21-day mark on my calendar for reference.

I feel pretty great! It has been up and down this whole time but the past few days have been mostly up. I'm glad I'm doing this.

As a present to myself that also keys in to my best time-consumer in these post-smoking days -- cooking elaborate meals -- I am buying one of those unnecessarily cute and ultra-overpriced aprons from Anthropologie. :)
