Lauren, I hope all is well on Wednesday when you go to the doctor. I'm sure things will be fine but it's still nerve wracking when something needs to be checked. I agree with you about panic shouldn't stop us from having kids. I do fine with my kids, they never suffer when I have an attack. Heck, they don't even know when I have one. :)

I do not have any kids yet:( I have my follow up appt. on Wednesday. I am nervous about what they are going to want to do. I was fine with my panic when I was pregnant though. Alot of times they will put people with histories of panic and depression on zoloft or something at the end of pregnancy to prevent postpartum issues. Anxiety and depression should not keep us from having kids!!!!!

Sue, Wow, I'm going through that now. I am 32 weeks pregnant and have suffered from panic attacks for 14 years. This will be my fourth boy and the first three pregnancies weren't all that bad but this one has been. I can't sleep, I feel like I can't breathe, and I dread the night time. The OB put me on paxil but I just started it two days ago. From what my OB told me, as well as our pediatrician, that paxil is relativly safe during pregnancy and can be used while breastfeeding as well. You could talk to your doctor about taking something that is safe during pregnancy. If you need to talk anymore about this, I'm here for you. To Lauren, I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. lauren, yes that makes a lot of sense, it is causing me a lot of unhappiness and don't think i will start to feel better untill i have had another baby although i am having such bad anxiety. You obviously want a baby so much aswell, have you got any children at all,? if you havn't Im really sorry, lets hope you can find out how things are with your blood tests, and a really hope that you can have a baby soon. I do a least have one child, I was very ill with postnatal depression and anxiety after i had him, of course I fear this will happen again. Take care and I hope you get what you want soon sue bxx

I feel depressed too. We are going to have some blood tests done to see if there is anything wrong. Then, we are going to start again. I think that you should go for it. Not just because you feel depressed over it but because if it is causing all this anxiety and sadness, you must really want to have a baby. Does that make sense?

hi lauren, I did read about yuor miscarriage on site, im so sorry, I do know how you feel as ialso did last year, but it has left me so wanting another baby, i cant stop thinking about it. I feel so depressed. thanks for answering my post. sue b

sorry, What i meant was the same question as above but also with agrobhobia and obsessive compulsive thougths and depresseion. If any of you have been through a pregnancy with any of these symptons or all of them, could you please tell how you coped and how it affected you after the birth. I would be really gratefull for your posts as this really means a lot to me. thanks again. sue b
