Hi Carols
Your rebirth as a non smoker sounds wonderful! Good acknowledgement of the commitment you are making. NOPE works like nothing else I've ever tried and the confidence to remain smoke free once the physical addiction has left your body just helps you forge ahead!  Great work so far and great attitude Carols.  You can do this!  Welcome to the site :)

Hi Carols,

Yes, it will get intense at points. If I recall correctly, some of the physical cravings should peak on Day 3. It's important to not give up at that point, because you will almost have all of the nicotine out of your system. If you can get through the first three days, the physical cravings will calm down pretty quickly. Hang in there.

Hi All!

I am on Day 2 and feel so Proud and Motivated :)  The cravings come and go, at times severe; I'm sure that will happen for a while but the key is to just push through them!  They Always go away and soon they will be fewer and less intense.  In a while they won't come at all!!!

Humm, I didn't write a goodbye letter to cigs.  However I did a little ritual; crumbled them up all...18 of them.  Tossed the ashtray and lighter.  Had a cup of fresh blueberries with a dab of whipped cream and a candle that I blew out to celebrate my 'rebirth' into a non-smoker.  I'm starting out Believing I am already a non-smoker, it makes me stronger to see myself successful!

Thanks all, some great posts here. N.O.P.E.-wrote that one down.

Hi Missjkh,

The app is similar to the website but doesn't have everything the website does. Some of the program content is in the Virtual Coach but currently the full program can only be found online at www.stopsmokingcenter.net. You can login to the website with the same credentials as you have on the app.

Hey Missjkh!!!

If the APP is designed like their website, there are some drop down boxes at the top of the page after log-in.  The boxes are "My Program, Community, Tools, and Help".   When you click on the boxes, there are topics to click on.  Specifically, the "My Program" contains the topic "Program".  That is what we have all been trying to direct you to.  The Program has different sessions there to help you plan your quit.  If you cannot locate it, maybe someone familiar with the APP will read this thread and help you out!  I'm still waiting for the "other" version to come online.

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi, missjkh.I remember not feeling like myself , out of sorts or in a fog ,unable to vocus.
Becoming a Non Smoker is a lifestyle change as smoking is triggered by various things we do
through out our day.It does not mean we can never do these things again ,we just have to realize
we do not have to smoke to enjoy them.
Remember the first few days are the worst, get through them and remember how much of a struggle it was.
That is what kept me going as I did nor want to do it over.
Wishing you Strength
N.O.P.E.

Hey Evilcanofcocacola!!!

Love that name!  Welcome to the SSC!!!  You are totally correct that cravings suck!  Hopefully you will find the information in the Program here and in these Forums helpful on your quit journey.  That is what the site is all about... providing the information and support to make your quit successful and hopefully more tolerable than going through the process on your own!

Stick close and read and learn!  If you need a hand, just shout!  We're all rooting for you!
