I have been married for 14 years and I've always wondered when he's going to leave. I absolutely love him to death (sometimes he makes me nuts) and I'm not sure what I would do if he did leave. He swears he will never leave but for some reason, I can't bring myself to really deep down believe it. I watched a movie once about a guy who hired a private eye to spy on his wife he believed was having an affair. The private eye told him that he found his own wife having an affair and they divorced and that if he had it to do over again he would've stopped obsessing over when it was going to end and would have instead enjoyed every day he had with her until she left. I doubt that helps, but it's something I try to remember when I'm feeling like it's a done deal.

sounds as if your husband has a difficult time talking about what is going on and how he is feeling, and really opening up...?

It's possible your husband is dealing with a lot of concerns and feelings of his own, which may or may not be related to your anxiety, and is simply afraid or reluctant to tell you for fear of exacerbating the stress that he knows you already experience. Just a thought, but might be a conversation starter for you guys to open the floodgates on some things...? Remember, men deal with their problems differently then women, in general, by retreating and withdrawing. Sounds like what your husband is doing.

Hi Gina, I was so worried about my husband too, my husband was being very quiet and seemed moody, and I kept trying to expain it to him but he couldn't really understand, and when he tried to talk, nothing came out right (according to him), anyhow, one of my friends spoke with him and told him to be patient and understanding. And he's been pretty good since. I have the same worry in the back of my head too, but the book I'm reading kind of teaches you to try and prove your thought, does it have any evidence? I slowly started to realize that there was no real reason for me to worry and my husband just didn't understand what I was going thru. Not everyone will understand, but you can help them to understand, just try to communicate, ask him what he wants to know or what he thinks without worrying (i know its hard) Things will be alright!
