Thanks so much guys for your concern and advice. I have had this miserable virus and it has me floored! I am finally feeling a little better I have tried to rest and think positive {instead of "oh my God" I am sick and going to die!} It seems alot of people are sick with bugs, the warmer weather is coming so it will not be so bad, I know I pick these things up from my son and the kids at school. I am still not well but trying to get better, and trying not to let this lead to full-blown panic like it did in Jan. Thanks again so much, it means alot to me. God bless you all, Deb.

Debbi, how are you? This is just a minor setback, remember that. Like you said, you probably caught something somewhere. We tend to overanalyze feeling sick! Hope you are doing better!

Thank you everyone for your replies, I can tell each and every one of you understand and have felt and been where I am and how I am feeling. I get so mad when I start obsessing like this, I feel weak and helpless! I have had a real bad day and just hope Sunday is better, it seems like my whole body aches now, I may have picked up a virus at my son's school, but I am sure all that bran did NOT help, I don't think I can even look at bran for a long time. Your words meant so much too me and gave me comfort and hope. Thank you so much for your concern and prayers. God bless, Debbie.

Hey Debbi! I'm sure the fact that you've been eating so much bran and not much of anything else lately has a lot to do with your stomach aches. Bran is a natural laxative. I know that when I'm not eating right I tend to feel funky and feeling funky always makes me more anxious and panicky. Eat 2 fruit and 3 veggies every day and drink 64 oz of water every day - it always helps me because I start feeling more healthy and when I'm feeling more healthy I feel stronger, which makes me feel stronger mentally / emotionally as well. Of course, there are a lot of days when this is harder to do than others, but I'm working on it also. Those darn fast food joints are just too tempting!! Not to mention the fact that chocolate is always screaming my name! ;p I have a magnet on my fridge that says, "I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter." Hang in there Debbi! You've been through this so many times before, you know you can do it! You are stronger than you feel - I promise!!

Hi Debbie, How are you feeling? I hope you are doing better... Sometimes I make myself sick because I think too much about everything...I might have a clot, a tumour...but for me it happens when my anxiety level is at high or when I have really anxious and terrible thoughts...feel a panic attack coming on...and fibre does that...I was eating a lot of cereal with fibre and made me sick...now I try to eat in moderation... I know it's hard, but try to have a positive outlook and take one day at time. In my height of my panic I woke up one morning cnvinced I had a brain tumor. I actually cried and was hysterical because I didn't want to die. I look back on that and realize how silly it was for me to think that. I think everyone here needs to see the movie "what the bleep do we know" it deals with how our minds can create our realities for us. If we are negative there are overwhelmingly negative things that will happen, IE convincing ourselves we are dying because we don't feel right. I have been there and all I can say is to try and be positive, laugh at yourself sometimes and say "what the hell is wrong with me that I think i am dying, this is ridiculous". I know that it is difficult but take full control of your thoughts and feelings, we are all in control of our bodies, and our thoughts, as much as it feels like we are just along for the ride and we are supposed to accept how we feel. Chin up, and remember that you have the power in you to control these things. If you can work yourself up into a panicky state, you can certainly work your way down from it as well.

Hi there D, YES bran if you eat too much can definatley make your stomach feel bad! I had pain in my knee last night and thought I had a clot too. Maybe your dream about your mother was her trying to be there for you to comfort you thru your anxiety, I know you feel like you are dying but you are not alone, everyone here has had the same feelings and I can tell you that I've thought I've had it all myself! I hate that feeling of doom too but if life was too easy it would be boring.... REMEMBER: KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, KNOW YOUR PANIC AND HOW IT WORKS, USE IT TO HELP YOURSELF AND OTHERS..... (D, YOU ALREADY ARE! (HELPING OTHERS))
