Lexapro interesting

My husband takes lexapro! That is strange. He seems to be doing okay though and has been on it for almost 3 months. Maybe he doesn't need it after all!

I have been on Lexapro for three weeks and the panic symptoms have definitely lessened. Before I started taking it, I was having to call people to come and stay with me; I was so panic-stricken. Now it is better, but there is still an underlying anxiety from the time I get up in the morning until my two oldest come home from school. Has anyone else had this underlying, all day, just annoying more than panicky anxiety while on Lexapro? And did it go away after a few more weeks on the med? Also, has anyone come off of Lexapro after therapy and been successful, not having to take anything else? Thanks for your help.

I have read this on more than one medical site. It is very interesting as in the fact that I have been on it more than 8 weeks and yes, I do feel better but I wonder if it is ME, or if the following statement is untrue: There has been no evidence Lexapro® is effective after 8 weeks of therapy for generalized anxiety disorder.
