E Cigarettes with 0mg Nicotine....STILL HARD!

12 years ago 0 55 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Penitent...Thanks...and YOU ARE SO RIGHT!  I AM GONNA BREAK THIS ADDICTION!  6-13-2011 at 10pm was my LAST CIGARETTE! (Nicotine that is)
It sure feels so great to say that....

I have heard from many people that these E Cigarettes contain NICOTINE...so I did my research and found a company that has NO NICOTINE AND NO OTHER HARMFUL POISIONS.  I did order them and can say that after the worse part of the nicotine withdrawl came...then urge to actually smoke the e cigarettes has gone away too.  So I BELIEVE THEY WORK...if you have your MIND SET.  ANYTHING WORKS as long as your MIND SAYS YES YES YES.....

Thanks Penitent....we will stay in touch I am sure...

Hi Debby,

I've been watching.

Plenty come here with enthusiasm and disappear through the same swinging door that they came in on! I can tell that you are different and that you mean this. And you know what? I know already that you can do this.

Follow Breather's advice of H.A.L.T.- it works - and quit in sectionals - minutes if necessary! And I know that feeling as bedtime approaches – another successful day completed and all those hours you can clock-up while asleep – brilliant! The dreams are to be expected as your brain adjusts to the pleasure of existing without nicotine – tough it out, it will get better. And in the morning? Check another day off on the calendar and start again!

Just keep on keeping on, one day at a time and it will get easier and easier. You may not believe that now but plenty have been through here successfully who could testify to that truth.

Chin up – you are winning!

All The Best

Penitent

PS Don't forget to reward yourself - you deserve it!

We are all in the same boat Debby. We are nicotine addicts but now we are asymptomatic and will be as long as we live so long as we never allow any, any, any ANY nicotine back into our bodies. I know we will make it Debby.

Will....Thanks...I managed to go out to a club and STILL NOT SMOKE!  Amen to that! I am doing better today...each day seems to bring something different.  Some good and some bad.  But I am not craving the nicotine...just want to stop the ECigarettes too.  I feel like I am cheating but I just am having a hrd time.  I am not smoking them as often though....so I know I am doing better.  They are 0mg Nicotine so I should be able to do it soon...the Nicotine is already gone...and the cravings are gone...for the most part Ha Ha.

Thanks for Jumping on my Ship to Recovery....That is how I feel a Recovering Drug Addict...NICOTINE..

Breather:
THANKS!  I do need to hear the words that I can do it...through the tough times.  I have told many people who say they want to quit about your H.A.L.T.  I know I say it to myself EVERY SINGLE DAY!  It really has helped me...I have had to tell myself a few times on the ANGER one...."Stop and walk away...don't let this break you down to smoke!"  It has helped me alot....Lonely was hard for me on Sunday also.  I was born on Father's Day (51 years ago)...the only girl of 3 kids...and when my daddy passed away I was lost...this year was hard as it was Father's Day and my birthday....so I cried and felt VERY LONELY....had to tell myself that my daddy would not want me to slip...so I kept telling myself...I got through it.  I AM SO HAPPY!  It has been 4 hours since I woke up and I usually would have smoked at least 5 cigarettes by now and I have not even used my E Cigarette!  The nicotine crave is so much better....it is the MENTAL that is messing with me alot...Thanks for your great help Breather!

Congratulations , YOU DID IT !!! Now do it again ! Thirty seconds at a time , five minutes at a time , an hour or a day at a time. You're proving to yourself that you can actually do this and the days are adding up. Remember H.A.L.T. Try not to get too much of any of these four things. Anger sent me back smoking more than once so in the early days especially I had to keep a check on it. The dreams are a whole another story. Next week at this time you'll be over heck week as well. Be proud of yourself for your accomplishment. As a freind here says " choose life , better benefits " Yay for you. breather

I KNOW that I am not over my addiction...and would love for anyone to help...This is my only support through this smoking death....(Burying the Smoking)...Need some pep words every so often...and if there is anyone that has quite around the same time as I have maybe we can help each other also.

Blessing to all!

Thank You Samantha...this is quite hard but I am really relying on this web site to help me get through the tough times. I look so forward to the end of the day...as in night time..bed time...so I can sleep and say 1 more day Smoke Free!  My dreams have become crazy though...anyone else say that has happened to them?

Thanks for your support

Breather....this IS FOR ME!  I have faced cancer so many times and managed to still stay alive...and still smoke.  This last bout about killed me...Breast cancer #2 surgery after a bilateral mastectomy in 99...so lost implants and tissue again in 10-10.  Dr told me he would not do surgery on me until I was nicotine free for 4 weeks.  I had been wanting to quit...but to have the reconstruction just gave me a bigger push...yes it is hard...but I am DETERMINED to get through this....when do the cravings STOP??? I am a basket case...I just wanna cry and have a cigarette...but there are none here and I tell myself I have made it this far...so will the nicotine be gone in 4 weeks??? I would love to get the blood test and have this surgery started sooner...and NEVER SMOKE AGAIN!

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Debby
