Hey Slinky!
I know how you feel! Sometimes you have good days but the bad days seem to last forever don't they? I've had this for about 12 years now and have learned from many different sources that the best way to defeat this nightmare is through Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). CBT teaches you how to retrain your thoughts. Panic / anxiety is a learned response and it can most certainly be unlearned. This website offers a free 12 week course for you to learn CBT. It is the Panic Program located on the left hand column. If you haven't started it yet, I strongly suggest you do! I am on week six and for the first time since I started having this problem, I finally feel like there is hope for me. I know there is hope for you, too! I am starting to feel more in control of my fears than before. It's still hard and some days are harder than others but I am feeling stronger than I have in years! Try the program and use the support group for the days that are too hard to handle alone. We all have those days and we all know exactly how you feel every single day.
Hang in there! We all have it within ourselves to conquer this monster. You are stronger than you feel - I promise!
Thankyou for your reply. I still feel off balance. I hate it, I just don't know what to do, I'm so scared I'm going to fall over. I know there probably isn't anything wrong but theres always that fear isn't there? I'm just so tired which I know won't be helping, but I don't want to feel like this anymore. Its been two years almost to the day since I started having panic attacks and I can't see that I've made any progress. I'm getting to the stage where I won't go out soon. I feel like my life is over, will I ever be normal again!! I'm only 23, these are meant to be the best years of your life but I struggle to go from day to day. I've rambled now, this is my problem, thank you again for your reply.
I get this way a lot! Whether I'm feeling anxious or not or even whether I'm sitting or standing. I hate it! But, just try to remember that it's normal.
Hi, I feel like I'm always on here aout balance problems!! Does anyone just feel rally unsteady on their feet. I've just been into town shopping and I couldn't stand it because I just felt so unsteady. I know I'm not going to fall over but I just can't shake the unsteady feeling, I think this is a symptom of anxiety, but I just want to know if anyone feels the same?
