Are you like this about family too?

I am so bad about thinking the worst - especially with my kids! It's never something simple. Like a few weeks ago, my son tells me his eyes looked blurry. Instantly, I started to panic because it couldn't be something simple like he was tired or had a headache or something. It had to be a tumor or going blind or meningitis or something horrifying! It went away the next day. But, I'm always like that, too! I try really hard to not let them know my fears when they tell me things like this. I don't want them to freak out like I do. Anyways, just wanted to let you know you're not alone!

When someone in your family/kids get sick or feeling ill do you freak as well or is it mainly only your own body and symptoms you have anxiety about? I have worked in pediatric nursing and I am aware of all strange things kids can do so I try to keep calm. However; I find myself over obsessing when my kids get sick. For example, my 9 year old got a cough. No biggie right? Well 7 days later I am freaking thinking she has something major wrong. A headache and I immediately think the worse. I am really trying to control my thoughts when it comes to my family but was wondering how you all do?
