Question

Debbie, I am on 10mg of Lexpro a day. I find it is helping I have not had any full blown panic attacks recently. The only thing I find is that I have body aches the best way I could put it is the way you feel when you get the flu and your body just aches. I found someone else on this website that had the same side effect or what I hope is a side effect. At first I was thinking it was bone cancer or something really bad. This week my doctor said I could start taking a half of pill and slowly work my way off of the meds which I have been on for 3 months and since I started taking a half of pill the body aches have decreased. Well hope we can countinue to talk. Thanks for the advice.

Nicole, Yes, Doctors are able to see a lot in blood work. If one had cancer or a tumor ones blood work would be abnormal, however it would not positively say "cancer or tumor" your physician would have to do further investigation as to why the blood work is abnormal. Dear Nicole, I know they can tell almost anything from bloodwork. Cancers or tumors do not cause panic. I know what you are feeling, 2 months ago I absoultly convinced myself I had an ectopic pregnancy, even after 4 tests! Then I was certain I had ovarian cancer! Its funny how the mind can work. I had the blood pregnancy test and I finally told myself I was NOT pregnant. THe meds should be kicking in and you will feel better, I know they had a show about breast cancer on today, and I immediatly turned it off, I made a vow I will NOT watch shows I know will upset me, I have stopped surfing the net too, those things only hurt they do not help. What meds are you on?? If you do not mind me asking. If the ER was concerned they would of kept you and your family Doc saying its alright I am sure you are, panic can cause you to think the worst, believe me I know! Let me know about your meds and how you are doing. God bless, Debbie

I have been feeling alot better since I started my meds, but I am still worried I have some sort of health problems. I had bloodwork done the night I went to the ER with a panic attack and had bloodwork done at my family doctor and both came back fine. Does anyone know if they can find cancer or tumors through bloodwork. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. It would be a huge weight lifted off my shoulders if I knew this. Thanks
