Any TMJ sufferers out there?

I don't have TMJ but I grind my teeth when I am stressed out, which is frequent! I know that there are therapies for TMJ. I guess its relaxation techniques? Or a mouth guard at night, depending on when you have problems. My allergies are awful and I can't take anything cuz I am pregnant and in the first trimester. Sometimes I feel like my head is a big bubble. But really, maybe you could find some stuff on the web about the TMJ, things to do to help. Good luck.

What is TMJ? From your post, it sounds like maybe it is something to do with your ears? I have a problem with my right ear at night. When I lay down I can hear my heart beat like a wooshing sound. It only lasts for a little while and goes away. Seriously annoying when you're trying to sleep! Anyway, just thought I would throw in my two cents about ear problems. Don't know if that helps or not, but there it is all the same. ;)

Just wanted to get some inut on how anxiety affects your TMJ and vice versa. I have had it for years and it drives me nuts! It affects my ears as well. I don't have alot of pain anymore, mostly stiffness and the constant popping and clicking noises in my ear. Not sure if its my ear or my jaw or both. Alot is definetely my jaw, it is noisy but the other popping sometimes sounds like the ear tubes. I dont get earaches anymore but sometimes feeli like my ears are wet and crunchy. Add allergies and I am a real mess! lol TMJ is a problem as there is no real solution out there......at least I havent found any. And the insurance companies don't want to pay for it.
